1. Mohanagar (2021)
Mohanagar, a Bangladeshi TV drama, premiered on June 25th, 2021. The plot begins with Deputy Inspector Moloy Kumar receiving information about the return of a criminal to the capital. He is searching for them in the darkness with his superior Harun. Afnan Chowdhury, the son of a wealthy politician, is then arrested for murder. Afnan’s father sends a representative to the police station to speak with an old friend, Harun, in order to exonerate his son. When Shahana Huda arrives on the scene and attempts to save Afnan, the situation becomes more complicated. It’s one of the best shows on the Hoichoi platform.
2. Taqdeer (2010)
Taqdeer, a highly acclaimed series on the streaming platform Hoichoi, will be released on the 18th of December 2020. It is a thriller that follows Taqdeer, a truck driver in Dhaka, whose life is turned upside down when he discovers a body in his vehicle. Watch as Destiny and his friend Montu become entangled in a web of chaos.
3. Mahabharat Murders (2022)
Mahabharat Murders is a critically acclaimed thriller web series that debuted on May 13, 2022. The show is based on the Mahabharata, with a modern-day Duryodhan hunting the Pandavas and Draupadi in the twenty-first century. Devika, a young model, is murdered in her home, and the perpetrators leave behind a Mahabharata comic book poster and a photograph of Pabitra Chatterjee, a well-known politician. Pabitra Chatarji, a driven politician who is referred to as Yudhisthira for his honesty, drawing a comparison to the epic character, assists Ruskana and Siddhartho in their investigation of the crime. Pabitra discusses the various Mahabharata perspectives with Ruksana and applies them to the murder mystery to solve it, so the allegory is more than just a metaphor. On Hoichoi, it is the best Bengali web series.
4. Byomkesh (2017)
Byomkesh debuted on October 14, 2017 and has since become one of the most popular Hoichoi web series. It’s a mystery thriller that follows the detective Byomkesh Bakshi and his friend Ajit as they investigate cases. There are seven seasons totaling sixteen episodes, with one of the most popular being Byomkesh Chorabali, which premiered on November 4th, 2021.
5. Eken Babu (2018)
On March 3, 2018, the Hoichoi OTT platform released Eken Babu, an incredible web series. It follows Eken Babu, a detective who appears to be an ordinary Bengali who makes a living by solving mysteries. The show has five seasons and 33 episodes in total, the most popular of which is Eken Babu Shantiniketan Sanket Mochan, which premiered on October 8, 2021.
6. Indu (2021)
Indu, the critically acclaimed Hoichoi web series, premiered on October 22nd, 2021. The story follows Indu and her family as they work feverishly to arrange a Hindu wedding. This is not the first attempt at a Hindu wedding; the previous attempt ended with Indu’s sister eloping with her future husband. The strain in the Indu household is palpable, but it’s only the beginning of the ordeal. An ominous gift from the in-laws includes a poisonous leaf in the fish, prompting Indu to wonder if someone is attempting to prevent Hindu marriages. Can Indu survive the dangerous secrets of her new family and home as she embarks on this chapter of her life?
7. Rahasya Romancha (2019)
The top web series is the Rahasya Romancha Series, which debuted on Hoichoi on August 9th, 2019. It was originally intended to be a Thriller film, but it was later changed to a web show on the Hoichoi streaming service. The plot revolves around Kalo Nekre, who employs private investigator Mora to find Amrita. The Trilok Chakra Samiti, on the other hand, is a formidable foe.
8. Mandaar (2021)
Mandaar is a Bengali crime thriller web series created by Pratik Dutta and Anirban Bhattacharya that takes place in Gailpur, a fishing village. Dablu Bhai, a powerful leader, exploits the fishermen and their local government leader, Modon Halder. Mandaar is dispatched by Dablu Bhai to assassinate the chief, and when he returns, an old wizard informs him that he will be taking Dablu Bhai’s place. This series, one of the best on Hoichoi, was released on November 19th, 2021.
9. Gora (2022)
Gora is an Indian crime drama streaming series that premiered on January 7, 2022. It has been named one of the best Hoichoi web series in Bengali history. Gora, a private detective who considers himself an expert in serial killing, has trouble remembering the names of people, places, and cases but is still capable of solving serial murder mysteries. Through his silent singing, he attempts to memorise these details.
10. Fish & Chips (2021)
Fish & Chips is a great show to watch on Hoichoi, which premiered on January 16, 2021. It’s a lighthearted Indian-Bengali show. Patro gave Parama and Timi his house before leaving for Dallas. However, once they moved in, things went wrong.
